Here on the board and IRL, libs are freaking out because Obama is struggling and the Dems are likely to lose a lot of seats in the mid-terms. The libs never dreamed that Obama would be so under fire by now. It was all supposed to be sweetness and light. ---

I don’t know anyone who expected Obama to receive “sweetness and light” from his political opponents; in fact, I fully expected the lies, character assassination attempts, and all-around horseshit-flinging from the campaign to blend seamlessly into further lies, character assassination attempts, and all-around horseshit-flinging aimed at preventing Obama’s re-election. So far I’ve been neither surprised nor disappointed. I may have lacked sufficient imagination to visualize the depths to which the right would sink in pursuit of their goal, but instinctively I expect a barrel to have a bottom, _somewhere_, eventually… ---

No, you gave Obama far too much credit. What the left doesn’t seem to understand is that half the country does not agree. Not just health care, I mean everything. Polls don’t matter. This country is divided half and half. What makes you say"What the fuck is wrong with these morons?" makes other people say the same about your position We will just have to see how it plays out. ---

Before the election, I said that I kinda hoped that Obama wouldn’t win- because I knew that, no matter how his Presidency turned out, you and yours would lambaste him for everything you could make up. And you know what? You haven’t disappointed. I also kind of wanted you guys to have to clean up the mess you left. Unfortunately, Obama won. Now he’s got to clean up your mess, and he’s got to be blamed for the mess he inherited. Hooray for our side. ---
