Actually, I took that picture as a parody of the National Lampoon cover. There was a ‘vote for the best web site’ contest a few years ago, and a bunch of web sites were plugging themselves saying, ‘vote for us because we’re the coolest, yada yada yada’. I found the whole thing fairly ridiculous, then I remembered that Lampoon cover, so I took a picture of my dog, put it on the front page of our site and said “Vote for us, or we’ll kill this dog”. My seven-year-old daughter set that up. All joking aside, she’s the best dog in the world. And she loves the blues. ---

Or, to paraphrase from a popular cartoon, “On the internet, nobody knows you’re a Republican intern.” ---

If that were the case, I’d think our ranks would have “swollen” by more than 5 or 6 in the last nine months…and besides, I was just kidding anyway. An increase of 5 or 6 conservatives over a nine month period isn’t really all that stunning, you know. And besides, if we were Bushco plants, wouldn’t you expect us to have more facts and some sort of pre-planned objective we tried to steer the conversation to, rather than just going with the flow and getting our asses kicked every time we uttered a conservative word? ---

I don’t get this “5 or 6 new conservatives” thing you’ve pulled out of your ass. What you actually mean is that there are a few more people who not only share your particular brand of conservatism but also your unique way of espressing it. There are lots of _normal_ conservatives around. You needn’t think that shrill and annoying are the only prerequisites. ---

P.S.: Funny, but I think “shrill and annoying” is a very apt description of most of the liberals I see on here.
