Been seeing these signs everywhere. Damned vegetarians and their whole agenda. I prefer full-fat, myself. ---

Are you sure that is what Shop Local means? To me it means try to support the shops in and near your town. Especially if it is a small business owner. I try to buy local and then buy a lot through Amazon too, so I guess I fail, but I do try to support my local small businesses. ---

Same here, and you can shop Amazon and also shop small business, many local bookstore are selling their stuff thru Amazon. Localvore means buying local foods, which can certainly include meats, but generally not processed foods. ---

In my case, Target is local and so is Best Buy though. I get most of the meat I eat through the local farmer’s markets. I know the farmers, I trust their pork, chicken, and even their potatoes. That keeps the farmer’s babies in shoes and the heat on in their homes and my tummy full of delicious bacon that’s much meatier than the stuff at the supermarket. ---

I got it! I are SMRT!!! 😉 And for our family gift exchange, we’re not just shopping local - we’re shopping at thrift stores - supporting local charities. It’s likely to be more interesting than the white elephant exchange we did last time. ---

Yeah, as a vegetarian who avoids diet or ‘skinny’ products, I was pretty confused by that. The two have nothing to do with each other. ---

The “joke” misses the mark in several ways, IMO. Bad relation between the premise and the punchline, punching down, trying to exploit an oral mispronunciation in text, etc. ---
