Shopping "carts" in the Queen's English

No one here use a shopping trundler?

Not in Texas or Arkansas.

In Alabama I would say the majority use “buggy.” I recently had a discussion with a woman from Alabama who had lived in California for several years. She said that one of the first times she went to a grocery store in California she asked where the buggies were and the employees didn’t know what she was talking about.
This map showing usage of different words is interesting:

From Wikipedia:

I’m from Alabama and I’ve used both buggy and cart, but actually say cart more.

You might think that a shopping trolley/cart/buggy is just a basket on wheels, but think again. The way things are going, you will be able to bluetooth your list to it and send it off round the supermarket while yo have a coffee.

Actually, come to think of it, I can do it all from the comfort of my own armchair and have the stuff delivered at my convenience.

My mom always used the word buggy; she is from Baltimore City (born 1929). I’m not Southern in any capacity, but I expect I got it from her while growing up

This Texarkanian strongly disagrees.

Never heard it in Northwest Arkansas or West Texas.
