I’m late but:

U2, “Freedom for My People”, Rattle & Hum, 37 seconds.

There is a compilation album put out by Fat Wreck Chords called “Short Music for Short People” that is compiled of I believe 99 punk songs that all clock in at 30 seconds or under.

**Ten Wheel Drive** Peculiar Friends is a human sounds track by the band. No lyrics, unless you count, “ahoojabeebits.”

**The Fugs** , a track called (more or less) The Ghost Of Plontinius. “I’m in this for the sex, myself.”

On the same album, Teenage Haiku Contest is probably a little too long. “Do not tell me, I am source of your knockup. The mud elephant, wading through the sea, leaves no tracks.” Rather too long to be a haiku, too.

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title. The shortest version on the iTunes store clocks in at 1:22, and the sample sounds crazy fast. I guess Chopin meant “minute” as in small, not “minute” as in “1 minute”.

Just remembered another song: [Family Reunion](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBIID49cMI0) by Blink-182 at 35 seconds. (Warning: SO NSFW or home, but still worth a listen)

Both the versions I have, on _Who’s Afraid of the Art of Noise_ and on _Daft_ clock in at 2:34. The song is rather repetitive, though. Maybe someone cut it down on a different release?

ETA: I know it’s a bit late to respond to this thread; I could have sworn I clicked the reply-via-email button…

Since this thread is still lurching around, I must add

[Love & Kisses](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Xa07s_Z18) by Sam Phillips, at 0:57.
