My mother: Married her first husband one week after meeting. Didnā€™t last forever, but it did work for 9 years and result in a kid. Pretty lucky there. ---

My grandparents met and married within 2 or 3 weeks. That was almost 50 years ago and theyā€™re still crazy in love. ---

Met China wife in Aug 1993 and married in feb 1994. 10 years, one kid later we are still at itā€¦ ---

I would hate to think of it being taken badly, but sometimes I guess it isnā€™t as easy to interpet this kind of thing from text only- especially when we donā€™t really know each other. Of course I was inviting **FairyChatMom** to participate in a Thread that I started and was happy to see her arrive. I am a little surprised that this community would react so strongly. [In a recent Thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=254617&highlight=cunt) it seemed like most of us were in agreement that this term is often, if not primarily, non-abrassive.
