# Shot Twice

Had my annual physical today. (Funny how even though I see my primary every 2 to 3 months, I still am supposed to have an annual physical.)
Actually wasn’t bad, numbers were pretty good, lost the weight he’s been bugging me about for years and all the important stuff; PSA, HDL, etc. were where they are supposed to be.
HOWEVER, got a flu shot, after which the nurse says, “O.K., now the other arm.” What? Seems there is a new pneumonia vaccine the doctor wanted me to have. Now both arms are sore and I wondering what side to try sleeping on. 😃

They gave me the TDaP in the rear once in '77 and I sat lopsided for several days.

Last time I was at my doc for other reasons I asked for a TDaP (because I hadn’t had one since…1996, and with lots of new babies among my friends and family, I wanted to make sure I had the whooping cough part of it before they start arriving in October.
I’m right handed, but asked for it to be done in that arm, because I sleep on my left side. I do the same thing with the flu shot in the fall.

I do this too. Three months for blood work to check cholesterol and blood sugar. Annual exam includes everything else. Good thing I like my GP.
Glad everything looks decent on your end. I don’t remember having any soreness after a flu shot - is this common?
