It might be a DNS issue, with the site being set up so early. [OpenDNS](https://www.opendns.com/smb/start/) is a free DNS service, that’s _really_ easy to get working with your PC (its also a bit safer than using regular DNS’s). I can find the site just find and I’m using OpenDNS. ---

Folks. Don’t get excited. CL has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which gives the company protection from creditors while it reorganizes. That’s what we’re now doing. We’re not in imminent danger of shutting down. However, we’re obliged to focus our limited resources on projects that will improve the bottom line. Make no mistake, the Straight Dope is one of those projects, and if you’ll notice Jerry’s latest post in the “status” thread, he’s making some progress. But I make no predictions. I know everyone wants constant status updates, but there’s not much I can tell you. I don’t wish to alarm anyone unnecessarily about the future of CL, TSD, and the SDMB. I merely point out the seriousness of the situation. As I’ve said before, we’ve got a plan we’re trying to execute. As parts of that plan come online, I’ll explain what we’re trying to do. ---

I hope the SDMB isn’t threatened by the goings on at CL. FWIW, [teemings.org](http://teemings.org) is propagating … oddly. I’m using OpenDNS, and it worked until just an hour ago, when it reverted to the GoDaddy placeholder page. Strange. DNS propagation should “take” soon.
