Should Employers allow political exchanges in the workplace?

My gut instinct is that, as a boss, I would have a rule against political discussions. That comes from having bad experiences with aggressively opinionated coworkers, even when I agree with them.

After giving it some thought, however, I think I would just abandon that rule and just be sure not to hire assholes.

If only assholes were branded as such on their foreheads.
