# Should I buy a condo with electric heat?

Um, lots of single people or newly-married or older couples like condos. Little upkeep if any outdoors, no worries with the roof. No landscaping. No clearing the snow yourself.
I would like a single-family home, but I doubt I’d own one unless I were in a long-term partnership. And maybe not even then; I’d rather put the money into retirement and my time into fun stuff. Cutting the grass =/= fun. YMMV.
I very much like the condo I’m living in. I have my own entrance, a gorgeous view, and rarely hear anyone around me. Again, YMMV.

We bought our condo a year and a half before this thread was started. A single-family home would have been nice but we’d have needed to mortgage about twice as much for the same size.
