I’m not an expert, but I believe that if you give a Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail address, Facebook will search your contact list for potential friends. Maybe this is how they came up?
It’s an an iteresting way to get in touch with friends, and friends of friends, etc. However to really do every little mundane thing and respond to every message on Facebook you’d have to spend a lot of time online each day. Too much fluff for me.
