I will say “no” because I don’t care for piercings in general and dislike facial piercings in particular. That said, it is your body and your decision. Should you choose to get one and I encounter you I will say nothing about your personal choice in ornamentation. ---

My older daughter got an eyebrow piercing at around that age. I am not sure if she still has one; I have long since stopped noticing what specific jewelry she chooses to wear unless it is something striking. ---

I would say no. The reason is that eyebrow piercings are the one piercing which leaves a fairly obvious scar if you go off it, take it out, and leave it to heal. You’ll always be missing a bit of eyebrow where the follicles got damaged. And it’s right in the main line of vision of anyone talking to you, so it’s really, really obvious. There’s lots of places you can get pierced which don’t leave such lasting marks smack bang in the middle of your face. ---

I can’t speak for everyone, obviously, but this is completely not true for me. I had mine for several years, about a decade ago, and I can no longer even tell which side it was on. And literally, there wasn’t much scarring to notice within weeks of it coming out, let alone missing eyebrow. ---

No legitimate piercer is going to work on a minor without parental permission and risk losing their livelyhood. The ones who would take that risk are not the ones you want poking holes in your face. I don’t _personally_ love eyebrow piercings on most people, because they jut off the face in a way I don’t find appealing, but if you find an experienced piercer that choses the correct placement then it can look nice. Tip: don’t go cheap. You’re paying someone to put a hole in your face, look for someone who has experience, training, and the proper certification, not Crazy Eddy at the Discount Piercing Pagoda. And don’t buy crummy jewelry. ---

It’s damn fucking hard for a 18yo fersh out of HS to find a job in any case. Reducing that chance by even a little is plain foolish. ---
