I just went smartphone shopping today. The iPhone wasn’t even on my list because I find it incredible that Apple would design it so you can’t even change the battery yourself without voiding your warranty. That just annoys the hell out of me.
I bought a Samsung Omnia and have been playing with it for about 8 hours now. I love it already. You’re already happy with a Samsung product, so you should at least check it out.
It has a 5 mega pixel camera with a flash, and the flash (very bright LED) can be turned on to be a flashlight! Just a couple of the things that I thought were really cool. I don’t even think I’ve started to scratch the surface of what this phone is capable of.

That’s fine, but if it’s only going to be a month or two before the full release, I’ll wait until Apple officially announces it. I can wait, I don’t want to do anything too geeky to it and break it.
