Greetings, I am a single male university student at the age of 21. During this summer, I am taking some German language classes (in a foreign language) in a private course. My teacher is a woman, and for reasons that I cannot comprehend and understand, she is “too” nice to me. She looks at me with a smile, and for example, a week ago she said to me “you have nice hobbies” when I was talking with some other students. Due to her extreme nice attitude, I have started to have a crush on her I talked with my father about that and he told me she was trying to encourage me (so that I would be more talkative (so that I can improve my German) and not afraid to ask questions etc.) I think my father is right, most people would call me a “meek” guy. What do you think? Even tough I may be embarrassed and stung at the end, should I tell her that I like her? Or should I simple ask her why she is too nice to me? By the way, I do not know her age. But she is not very old. I think I am kind of a guy who easily falls in love with every woman who treats me with a slightest pleasantness. And I should find a way to stop that. ---

If you feel that you absolutely must speak to her about this, wait until fall quarter starts, or at least after the summer quarter is over. Unless you have her for another class. Then hold off until that class is completed and the final grades are in. ---
