(Though if you’re in the audience, Mr. Gates . . . how’d you like to be a direct supporter of the performing arts? Any other tycoons of industry? MacArthur Grant-ors? Anyone got some extra lemonade stand revenue you’d like to share?) 😃 Now, let’s get real: I’m sorry you missed the first years of the experience that is the Straight Dope community; I’m saddened that everyone hasn’t been in on the deal since day one. Not wishing to appear ignorant or anything … I’ve got cookies set for automatic login, so if there’s a link on the login page to do the Paypal thing, I ain’t seein’ it. I’ll gladly re-up in advance, just so I don’t hafta worry about it. I re-upped in time last year pretty much by accident, as I didn’t get the email (mizzabul webmail). But I gotta tell Paypal who to give the money to, y’know? 🙂 ---
