Hmmm. Let me clarify… While I do like how your hair currently looks, I also like shaved (or nearly shaved) heads. But I’m more a fan of the going bald preemptive strike in regard to shaving one’s head. I’m sure you’ll look good either way though. I guess you could go for it, e-mail me a pic, and then if it doesn’t look good, you can let it grow back. I’ll give you an unbiased opinion ;). ---

Oh I’m in no danger of going bald anytime soon. Got a thick head of hair that’s gradually going salt and pepper on me. But I like it short. Easy to handle, quick to dry. And the head rub thing does have quite the appeal. Slainte, if I do go thru with it, I’ll be sure to mail you and get your opinion. And you’re free to rub me anytime you want to 😉 ---

My _god_ I’m **tortured** by this question. **What if** he makes a mistake? Buzzed hair **doesn’t grow back** , right? Okay, okay, it grows back, but slooowly. **Imagine** the _ **agony** _ of waiting **6 weeks** for it to grow out a bit? The **rejection**. The _snickering laughter_. The **newspaper** headlines. Yikes! (p.s. I labored over this question myself. One day I went to a pro and paid them to do it ($15 I think). I’m glad I did it once, if just to get over my doubts about the imagined disastrous effects of changing my Hair Style. Then I shaved my chest. All by myself. I felt so proud. But, the worst thing about this experience is that it didn’t change my social life at all. No one seemed to notice! Harumph. Doesn’t anyone care anymore? Are we so busy with our cell phones and laptops and PDAs and emails and Message Boards and working on our “relationship” that there is no room for human feeling in this cold and bitter world? Huh??) ---

Go for a Mach3 clean sweep. It’s incredibly liberating, so much easier to maintain, and the chicks seem to dig it 😉 ---

For the last year I have been cutting my hair myself for about a year and have been pleased with the results. I will use the clipper setting three or four. I started doing this because my hair is beginning to thin out but overall I still have good coverage. The main thing is that my forehead seems to be growing. When I look in the mirror I see one of those big foreheaded Star Trek aliens with, you know, big foreheads. ☹ I have almost shaved it completely numerous times, usually after a few beers, but have chickened out. One of these days I probably will shave it. Either way I am saving a good amount of money which I will immediately blow on a DVD. ---

I like the shaved head look from the clippers, but not the Mach 3 clean sweep (apologies to whomever has that particular cut…it’s just not my thing). My boyfriend did the Mach3 thing on me once and I literally screamed when he showed me his “surprise.” Hair grows back though so its no big deal to experiment and see what you like! Girls do like touching your head after a shave… 🙂 ---

Another female perspective: I say go for it. I’ve even shaved my own head, although _that_ got mixed reviews (I liked it, no one else did). If you shave it bald you’ll look quite sexy, probably. 🙂 And once the fuzz grows in, your head will be a magnet for other people’s fingers.
