Some prescriptions result in lenses so thick that (due to the curvature) only the very center of the glasses provide clear vision. Looking into my glasses as anything but straight on, I see only warped images. With glasses, I lack periphial vision of any sort. It is no good, and wearing contacts makes a profound diffrence in how I see.
