# Should men always pay for a date?  Or should women pay?

I never go to dinner with my BF without being prepared to pay my share, but my financial situation is fairly iffy so I often can’t pay for both of us, regardless of whether I want to or not. He doesn’t mind paying, but I don’t want to seem all that dependent, so I chip in what I can when I can. One way I’ve gotten around that problem a bit is by paying for breakfast on Saturdays – he’s been going out with a couple he knows on Saturday mornings for years, so now I do too – since that’s less expensive. I get the warm fuzzies from feeding him, if indirectly, without being out twenty bucks that I really NEED.

As for sex, that has nothing to do with the food – at this point in our relationship, it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion anyway.
