Done repeatedly when they have been told it is offensive is a form of harassment.
So, you think if person A does something you think is harassment, you get not to serve person B because person B shares a skin tone with person A? And you think you will just show a judge your diary entries and they’ll say, “Well, ZPG Zealot obviously truly believes this about black people, therefore she’s okey doke with me!”
I have to say, I have read nothing today more delightful than this. The image of your telling a judge that you won’t read the fortunes of black men because you’ve told various black men that handshaking=harrassment, and other black men keep offering to shake your hand, is perfectly wonderful.
All black guys know each other. That’s why they do the nod.
Knowing each other is not enough. They need to develop a hive mind, like white men have done, so they can instantaneously share knowledge of who needs to be oppressed. Just a heads-up, when naming your hive mind, The Man is already taken.
I see some Roma in Spain are protesting the dictionary definition of “gypsy.” Why are they oppressing the dictioneers? Can’t they just buy another dictionary?
I have an image of an anti-gay bakery agreeing to cater a straight wedding, only to be told "and here we’ll be sitting best man Adam, brother of the groom, and his husband Steve. Should they insist on getting a guest list and making sure none of “those people” are included?
The standard statement is something along the lines, "Because of the great evil done to me by clients of a certain type (whatever group the psychic advisor doesn’t want to deal with), I can no longer provide counseling to individuals that share those traits. I could do them only harm. Any spirits invoked would be twisted and dangerous yadda, yadda, . . . . " 30 years of logs just backs of the claim of negative experience working with a group.
Well, who wouldn’t be convinced by that?
I mean, when my spirit voices get twisted and start to ride up… let’s just say it ain’t pretty.
I think you need to brush up on your reading comprehension. Repeatedly demanding a woman touch you when she has already made it clear she does not want is harassment. In fact, ignoring being told that even once is a threatening gesture.
Freedom of religion is enshrined in the constitution. It’s a wonderful right.
So is equal protection. You seem to be under the mistaken impression one trumps the other.
If you run a public accommodation you don’t get to use race as a deciding factor in determining which members of the public are welcome no matter how hard you believe black people are bad.
I think ZPG Zealot’s racial prejudice is derailing the OP’s question.
It’s pretty clear that in this instance, the Mom-and-Pop Pizzeria got priceless publicity and a heaping of support from similarly inclined individuals.
Too bad for the gay wedding party going pizzaless because Mom-and-Pop were the only pizzeria in town. And that’s really the point isn’t it? And makes it like the sunset towns of old where a black couldn’t travel through certain parts of the country because he/she could not get served for food or gas or accommodation.
Right, because my reading comprehension is the big problem with this scenario. Seriously, take it to court, ZPG, and tell us how it goes! Please, pretty please.
I’ve never heard of cheating people with scams like palm reading and chicken entrail reading referred to as art forms either. So?
Also, do you ask people if they’re adopted and then refuse to do business with them because they’re werewolves*?
*or vampires. I forgot which one you said.
Pardon me, it was your grandparents who said adopted kids became vampires and should be killed. Although I’m now curious if you believe that too.
Yes. Yes we can.
Right? I hope if I’m drunk or demented enough to seek out palm reading or some other mumbo-jumbo bullshit, the proprietor will discriminate the shit out of me.
WWJD? Jesus would cater the bejesus out of that gay wedding. He’d even whip up an awesome holy cake. Christians are the worst.
There is so much crazy in that post of hers I am speechless.
Get your history straight, my grandparents believed illegitimate kids became vampires or possibly werewolves depending on their ethnicity and family history. That level of supernatural belief wasn’t uncommon among people a few generations ago. The last vampire exhumation in the United States was in New England in the late Victorian Era and they are still being done in rural parts of the Balkans and Eastern Europe. I believe current science says either such creature doesn’t probably exist and put them in the category of the Loch Ness monster and Bigfoot.
