First, that term is a little offensive, and second, I think slav gymnastics would be cooler.

You’d likely need to pitch it as the [cultural arts practice](http://youtu.be/EsiPGGC2rBs) rather than the stripper pole, yeah. Would be a hard sell, otherwise. But pole acro has been around for a long time.

Considering some of the things you see on parallel bars or beam, its pretty ordinary. As in its novelty makes it look hard, but no real comparison.

It’s even creepier when you think about what age they \*started \*pole dancing, in order to make the Olympics.
