Yes, we need government services. I don’t see the relevance of your point.
Obviously not. I think the posted quote of the ADA requirements sounds about right.
In-seat CC sounds ideal for movie theaters, provided you can turn it off. I turn CC on and off while I watch tv all the time. I watch, in effect, on TiVo, and if I miss a line for whatever reason, I rewind and turn on CC instead of straining to hear garbled or mumbled speech. But CC is very distracting. Movies are a visual medium, and I cannot force my eyes to ignore CC except through conscious effort, which greatly reduces my ability to enjoy the movie.
But the question is phrased unreasonably. The “all” and “100%” are over the top. Should all music concerts have giant CC screens for the deaf fans of the band? Clearly not.
Sure thing. Under my system of belief, you, as the owner of a private business, have every right to ban blacks from entering your restaurant. Also, under my system of belief, I, as an individual consumer, have every right to tell you how much of an asshole you are when you do this, let the media know what you’re doing, start a widespread boycott of your restaurant, and generally inform the world that you’re a bigoted jerk whose business deserves to go down in flames.
Wanna ban blacks? Go for it; you have (or ought to have) every right. Lemme know how it goes. And if, by some bizarre chance, you actually find enough racist bigots such as your (hypothetical) self to support your business, well, I’ll file that under “sad commentary on the societal condition” and move on.
It appears we have a difference of opinion as to the proper role of the state. I, for one, believe the state has a role to play in sowing the seeds of love.
