An interesting question, and not completely out to lunch. A friend of mine is a paramedic and one quiet night they were dispatched on a call to check on an elderly couple. When the paramedics arrived at the home sometime after 1100 pm, and asked about the health issue, the couple said they usually checked it out on the internet first before calling an ambulance, but since it was so late, they had assumed the internet was closed. So, not such a dumb question afterall. ---

(and browse a few websites, sometimes). I’ve got co-workers who work from 9 pm to 5:30 am or so. Their sleeping time is definitely other co-workers’ day (many of my co-workers work 6-2 or 7-3 or 8-4. And yes, there are people working 2 pm -10 or so. The building is never empty except on Thanksgiving and Christmas). ---

Why should the nocturnal among us have to suffer if you simply can’t not use internet on your own (or enforce such a rule among your own spawn or whatever) during these times you propose shutting down for? ---
