I really dont think that US will do anything to Hamas. Why would they get their hands dirty? Israel is doing fine perpetuating the stalemate. I wonder if Sharon actually wants and end to any of this. It seems that whenever things calm down to a background level of violence, Sharon ups the ante a bit. I rekon he feels " at home ".

After the atrocity of 9/11, I think that ANY terrorist group that makes open and direct threats against the USA, or its allies, should NOT be surprised if they get flattened! Sorry, but words matter…you can criticize the president of the USA all day, but the minute you actually threaten him, don’t be surprised-you will shortly get a visit from law enforcement.
I think the practice of (not answering open threats) emboldens terrorists-this waspart of what drove the Al-Queda operations.
So, to those contemplating harming the US and its citizens, rant and rave…but one day , remember what you said.
It would be nice to see one of these bastards on TV one day, mouthing threats…then next day seeing his headquarters reduced to a heap of smoldering ashes!
