It’s okay. I’m cool with it.
Less inanely, after having a bit more time to check, I will also say that, indeed it was my plea that got the policy changed (post #37 in this thread I already linked to above)

My typical inclination if I have something I want to discuss is to run a search first. I don’t mind resurrecting a decade old zombie, but I typically place in bold letters the year of the OP.
I figure if the initial conversation was decent, it makes sense to add to it, rather than ignore it. Sure, I could just link to the old conversation, but most won’t follow those links.
Ideally, vBulletin would provide a different color for threads that over 90 days or 1 year old. Or maybe they could enlarge the font of the first and latest post, if the latest post is 1 year old. Or something. But that’s outside of practical SDMB admin control.
In the screens where search results are displayed, and the forumdisplay screens as well, there is a Last Post column with the timestamp thereof showing there, plus the by UserName info.
I don’t know if it’s a simple (i.e., built-in option) matter or not, but it seems to me that it would be very useful if a simlar column could exist there showing CREATION date (or FIRST post) of the thread. It won’t stop zombies but it will make it far far easier for board regulars to realize a given thread is indeed a zombie.
