# Should we be able to see one of the other planets right now? -unaided eye, California

Thanks, This would explain why Eastern Australia gets a smiley at 9.30 pm, Monday 1 Dec (UTC +11 hours) and Southern California gets a frowny (~UTC -8 hours).
