My hometown is spiffy. That is, if you like [strip malls,](http://home.flash.net/~ral1/starbucks/bigimages/DSCN6136.jpg) [car dealerships,](http://www.cardealerchicago.com/saturn.tinley.park.jpg) [modern hotels,](http://www.hotelsvalued.com/hotel_pictures/CZ/il013_b1.jpg) [and other anonymous brick buildings.](http://www.vasectomyclinics.com/images/tinleyparkclinic.jpg) (Actually, that last one is a vasectomy clinic!) For those wanting faux-historic, there’s the new [Metra station](http://www.metrarail.com/Station-images/tinley_park_ri_station.jpg), which is just across the way from the federally mandated [dive bar](http://fenninjc.tripod.com/teehans1.jpg) and [the best steak house in the south suburbs.](http://fenninjc.tripod.com/bogarts.jpg) Now I’m in Chicago. You all think you know what that looks like, but you’re probably thinking of The Loop, which is not where I live. The balcony (my balcony) ran the entire length of the building and overlooked the ocean. It’s located in Ormond Beach, FLA on A1A.
