I’ve just never been interested. Don’t belong to any groups where FB is the preferred means of communication. I’ve thought it might become more appealing as my family becomes more farflung, but e-mail has so far served my needs just fine. Also, I ridiculously cling to the fiction that there is such a thing as privacy, and my job is such that it is probably a good idea not to go out of my way to be more readily identifiable and accessible. Any other asocial luddites out there? BTW - I’m 52 and male. ---

I’m 59, and I’m not on Facebook. Madame Pepperwinkle is, though, and she handles most of our social communications that way. Well, and the phone. I am on Linkedin, though. ---

I’m not even on Classmates as a paying type. I do check in on the freebies from time to time, but Facebook has never appealed to me. I do all my keeping up in email. 71 for age. ---

I am 42 and avoid “social media” like the plague of self-absorption that it is. If anyone wants to know my “status,” they’d better care about me personally enough to call me and ask me. ---

46, female. No Facebook. I still hope it’s a fad, along with Twitter. My employer started giving building updates during inclement weather via Twitter. I would rather drive to work, find out the building is closed, and drive back home than sign up for Twitter. If the weather is bad enough to close my building, I probably won’t make it out of my driveway, so my principled stand is kinda a moot point… ---

34, male, no. There are plenty of ways to keep up with my friends, such as twitter, AIM and e-mail. I’ve never been a fan of social networking sites, they paint a distorted picture of reality. Also, what **Shodan** said. ---
