Slightly unrelated to the OP, but as an owner of glass-enclosed showers in my home, I’d recommend any of you Squeegee-ers out there at least try one of the products which are made to make the glass slippery. I believe these work by essentially filling in microscopic defects. We use [Invisible Shield](http://www.seatonglass.com.au/invisible_shield.html) but I am sure there are other products as well. About every six months we clean the glass (it stays very very clean between showers) and re-apply. Highly recommended and works on tile as well to significantly diminish soap scum and hard-water deposits. We are much too lazy to squeegee. ---

This thread just goes to show me how different my mind works from the rest of you. If I had seen a squeegee in the shower, I would’ve assumed it was for cleaning my back, not the walls. (Not that I know anyone who uses a squeegee in the bathroom, either for the walls or their back.) I would’ve used a clean rag for cleaning the shower walls after I got out. ---

Wouldn’t something like that make glass into something that effectively isn’t glass (and thereby murky to see through)? \*not a tradename ---

I told my gf all about what I’ve learned regarding shower squeegees. Then she showed me the squeegee present in each bathroom (hanging on the inside of the towel closet door). We’ve been cohabiting for a while; it was embarrasing. ---

There is absolutely no expectation for a guest to squeegee the shower. How rude do you think Dopers are? The squeegee permanently resides in the shower. So if you’re visiting you will see it there. You will also see the rubber ducky, but we have no expectation that you’ll play with that either. ---

We have a large floor squeegee attached to a broom handle. Since the shower shares the same floor space as the rest of the bathroom, it’s only considerate to squeegee the floor a bit after you take a shower.
