Desperate housewives - I actually made it season 8, then that final season arc was just stupid, even given the stupid arcs they previously had. Simpsons - Long time ago. Seasons 1-7 are the ones for me. Jumped the shark at the Frank Grimes episode, planting the Homer is an asshole seed, and running that for 15 seasons or so. Family Guy - I did watch it past the time it was brought back. Now, I don’t even notice if its a new or old episode. True Blood - Still got the second last season sitting half watched. We’d already abandoned and came back for the season before. Only Pam was fun and she got less nasty as time went on. Jericho - Never made those final few episodes. Premature cancellation kills interest in a show for me. ---

I see I’m not the only one who bailed on **The Following**. I liked the cast. I like Bacon and Purefoy. I think they were both good in their roles. The over the top violence didn’t bother me. I could suspend my disbelief with the ridiculous cult. But it became a weekly game of “Lets punish the viewer.” And on top of that the stupidity of the characters. “Hey lets go after the bad guy. Oh no it’s a dark building. Let’s split up because that worked out so well the last time.” “I’m going to go into this dark room looking for the bad guy but it’s ok because I have this stranger with me who in no way could be a cult member.” ---

ST : Voyager. The weekly teasers had nothing to do with the show. Grimm : I watched 8 episodes and nothing hooked me in. 24 : Stopped with the torture of Jack’s brother. Blacklist : When the dirty bomb went off under water. Once upon a time : my daughter lost interest in season 2. ---

I recently realized I had episodes of The Big Bang Theory on the DVR back to November 2013 and I had no interest at all in watching any of them. I made it about half-way through seasom 1 of Agents of SHIELD before drifting off. ---

We watched the first 2 seasons of \*\*Scandal \*\*on Netflix and enjoyed them, recognizing they were just a _wee bit_ over the top. 😉 We started on the 3rd season and saw maybe 2 episodes before we gave up. I don’t know if it’s because the writing got that bad or we just didn’t care any more. Or maybe we finally figured out that Olivia was just flat-out nuts. But I don’t miss it. **Criminal Minds** - I enjoyed the first season or so, but I can’t watch it any more. Just can’t suspend disbelief as much as the show requires. \*\*NCIS \*\*- I’ll still watch the reruns during the day, but when they brought in the new woman to replace Ziva, I just couldn’t buy her schtick. The show didn’t need a 3rd geek. Reaching farther back, I got bored with Home Improvement, King of Queens, and Everybody Loves Raymond pretty fast. In fact, most sitcoms are just too formulaic and predictable. I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t for my husband, I’d just get rid of TV. ---

I stopped watching \*\*24 \*\* about halfway through the second season when we got several episodes that were All About Kim. I still maintain they killed off the wrong family member in season 1. And I stopped watching **Lost** fairly quickly because I’d already seen [bTwin Peaks\*\*. SSDD. ---

A cool idea, a desire to make it, but had just enough juvenile elements for it to be close-but-not-quite professional. It’s like the writers just went “oh man, and think of how much the audience will be surprised when THIS PERSON is a part of the cult!” Every. Other. Damn. Person. ---

I couldn’t bring myself to devote any more time to characters who are that stupid. I recently deleted Castle from my favourites list. It just got boring. I think I was in Season 5. The only show I’ve actually turned off and deleted in the middle of an episode was Under the Dome. I’m _thisclose_ to bailing on CSI. It just hasn’t been the same since Grissom left. Plus I can’t stand Finn’s constant smirking. ---

I drifted away from **Archer** during the _Archer Vice_ season. Wasn’t even intentional, I just missed an episodes, then two… etc. Sort of mean to go back and see what I missed but apparently not enough for me to have done so yet. ---

**Burn Notice** - bailed before the last season. **Suits** - I just sort of let it go and didn’t miss it. No real break, I just realized I had a whole season on my DVR that I couldn’t be bothered to watch, and figured if I was that unmotivated I might as well just delete the whole thing. I’m way behind on **The Flash** , and I’m not sure if I’m going to pick it up. I got about 6 eps behind on **Agents of Shield**. I caught up, but I wish they’d just wrap up the Skye story arc. And, saddest of all, **Doctor Who**. I just haven’t gotten into Capaldi. I watched maybe 7 of his eps. Please, somebody tell me it gets better. I hate how he treats Clara. StG ---

Breaking Bad, not sure of the season but it was soon after Gus entered the picture. The Walking Dead. The Guv’ner killed the show for me. Family Guy. At one time it was my favorite animated comedy. Now it’s so creepy and gross I can’t stomach a full episode. I rarely watch tv shows so when I find a show so bad I can’t be bothered anymore it means a lot. Other than these three I’ve only watched the other Fox animated comedies and Lost over the past 10 years. Lost is the only one I stuck with regularly, but I think it was more about the internet fun and games than the actual episodes that I truly enjoyed. Most of those Fox animated shows I can take or leave. I’ve really been digging Bob’s Burgers though. ---

The Walking Dead - I’m burnt out on zombies and whatever supernatural _du jour_ inundates the airways. Last Man on Earth - I thought the dynamic between WIll Forte’s and Kristen Schaal’s characters made the show, but they abandoned that formula and it no longer retains my interest. Justified - The last season is sitting in my DVR ready to watch, but scary rednecks have become another genre that burned me out. The Blacklist - James Spader is one of my favorite actors, but the “former government operative goes rogue and singlehandedly fucks up the CIA” template is getting old. The Simpsons - This show ran its course years ago. It needs to die. ---

Castle. I’m still recording and stashing it, but I can’t bring myself to watch it. Defiance. Loved the first season. Never watched the second. Once Upon a Time. The Vampire Diaries. True Blood. New Girl. The Simpsons. Rectify. I’m sure there are others. And, fwiw, Scorpion was picked up for a second season. _shrug_ ---

I’m usually pretty resilient. **Agents of SHIELD** was the last show I got all revved up for and watched the first several episodes until I gave up. I thought the plot and acting were subpar for what I expect from something with Marvel’s name on it.
