Here are a bunch I found a while back. According to my private notes, these come us courtesy of **Patty O’Furniture**. I guess these are called shruggies now. (Note that the one shown in the OP is included in this list.) They are Japanese-style emoticons, also known as kaomoji. Their defining characteristic is that you don’t need to tilt your head. While they often use kanji or Japanese characters, you can construct kaomoji out of standard ASCII, like so (o\_O). ---
