On a break. The great news is, when I go back they’re goin’ to wrap things up and leave today instead of tomorrow. YAY!!! What I’ve been told is everything looks really good so there’s no need for the auditors to be here tomorrow. The even bestest thing is this was said in front of my boss. 😃 Makes da bear feel good.

Break time! I’ve baked and stuffed 10# of N.O.T.s and they’re wrapped and in the freezer for future meals. I also wrapped and froze some chickie tits and some beer brats. My back is achy and I need a break before I empty the dishwasher and make the quiches for tonight’s supper and future breakfasts.
\*\*FCD \*\*is rewiring the camper trailer. He was going to install a new connector and he discovered that all of the wires were taped up - it looks as if something had been snacking on the insulation and the “repair” was to wrap electrical tape around the nibbles. So he’s replacing it all. I should go out and see if he needs help. I should…
OK, I will. 😃 Because I’m nice, dammit!

Howdy from da cave! I went back in after my last post, we talked a few minutes, and at two-forty in the p. of m. the auditor folk were outta there! My boss and I talked for about half an hour. It’s great to hear stuff like how she does not worry about what’s goin’ on down here because she likes the quality of my work. This means I get left alone. 😃 Anywho, she left right after that and I left right behind her.
I need to put dindin together in a bit. I’m gettin’ somewhat hongree so this may be an early dindin if’n OYKW gets here shortly which he thinks he will. Poke tenderloin is already cooked and just needs to heat up. Succotash, wild rice and crescent rolls (don’t judge!) don’t take long to make. Have I mentioned I’m gettin’ somewhat hongree?

Quiche has been ingested here, with cantaloupe - the melon wasn’t all that great, but the quiche is yum!! And there’s enough left over for several breakfasts. YUM!!
It’s been 55° all day! It’s raining again, and I’m chilly. Taz is sleeping on top of the aquarium - it’s warm there from the tank lights. I expect he’ll plaster himself against me at bedtime.

Update on my own situation: today I was officially informed by new supervisor H that I am in her department effective Saturday. Aside from one minor schedule hiccup (she and I will need to talk tomorrow, Saturday, or Monday about this), no problems for me. I do still have to put up with F, since he’s migrating too. Can’t get away, can I?
Oh well, this ought to be entertaining in a “gawk at the car crash” kind of way. H and our new leads, T and J, are all female. J is Miss Sweet (but I’m sure she has limits), while H and T are both nice enough women in a “take no crap” kind of way. Basically, do your work competently and be a civilized adult in behavior and you’ll get along fine with any of the three. Slack off or have an attitude problem and you’re not going to enjoy dealing with any of them, let alone all three as a team. F is not only a slacker notorious for frequent absences from his assigned duties, but he has major issues with taking instructions from women.
I think you can do the math on that. 😃
