Could be arthritic hocks, which wouldn’t be so bad, you can manage them with NSAIDs and occasional steroid injections into the joint. If it’s navicular, though, or ringbone, well, it’s a tragic thing, but irreversibly progressive lamenesses like that mean euthanasia will eventually be the only possible course. Poor thing. ☹ ---
