For maximum troll, however, McDonalds should announce that there is a logistical problem getting the sauce produced and it will take nine more seasons of Rick & Morty before they have it worked out. For those of you who don’t watch the show, Rick said that was his character arc, to get the sauce, even if it takes nine more seasons. ---

Last Christmas my sister mentioned that she still had a box of my (now 29???, my how time flies) niece’s Beanie Babies in storage and she could come get them any time. Of course customers shouldn’t yell at or berate counter workers when their problem is something out of the worker’s control, but the McDonald’s corporation shouldn’t be actively making choices that exacerbate customers already prone to unreasonableness. ---

has anyone ever noticed that in any parody or comedy that’s "lets show this group/type of people/person as funny assholes " that the people there making fun of seem to take it as life affirmation? Like when beavis and butthead was on in HS I made the comment that I didn’t watch it because they were 80 percent of my HS and I didn’t need to watch it to laugh at people being stupid in that manner as I could do it all day everyday live And my teacher made the comment that the fans of the show never noticed they were being made fun of (well some did a decade later when they were in the "yeah I was stupid in hs stage ) ---

Hell, why would they even bring it back if they didn’t know that? What would this little stunt accomplish? Toys are toys. They aren’t something people have been writing petitions to get McDonald’s to bring back. I honestly think McDonald’s is coming out on top with this. It was a publicity stunt. They limited supply because they knew people would be upset. Sure, they might not have predicted the extent of it, but they knew that people would want more if you gave them a taste of it. And so they did this so that, when they do actually produce these, people want them. And pretty much everyone is going to cover it when it comes back, since it created a controversy before. They are likely to get a lot more coverage than if they’d not done this. When the run is this limited, it’s not to check for demand. It’s to drum up even more demand.
