Dude, get a clue.
If you clean up your language, your OPs are still much more pit than debate. And there’s nothing wrong with that _so long as you are posting them in the pit_, but putting them in GD just hurts everyones brains.
Saying “Look at this, it’s stupid!” isn’t a debate. Unless you can come up with a central point and follow it up with logic and present it in a format humans can understand and backed by cites, it just doesn’t belong in GD regardless of whether people post to it.
And fucking bumping your own threads by responding and re-responding to it is just childish. If no one has anything to say, then you’re just shit out of luck.
Live with it, or figure out how to get on the train.

It’s pretty staightforward. She had a degree in anthropology from U. Del . Ran my office, then my best friends, for awhile. We met “professionally”, as it were. She was gay before (and after) me.

I thought one “Pit” thread was sufficient for any SDMB member.

Well this pitting is somewhat midway through a conversation so it won’t have been as much of a surprise. But no, he wasn’t taking the “Please stop responding to alaricthegoth” thread as a proper pitting, so it seemed he needed one with a more pit-thy title.
But indeed, Alaric, you have been the recipient and worthy of multiple pittings. It’s not terribly encouraging.

To be fair, Alaric has been more active lately imho. The more threads you start, particularly in GD and the pit, the more likely it is that you will be pitted because you are more likely to rile someone off.

Alaric looks as GD as an opportunity to drop hints of his hedonistic life in his stream-of-consciousness (IE: rambling) viewpoints re: the right. He’s like the dinner guest who purposely drops a turd into conversation so he can make the matrons gasp. Some of it may even actually be true.
Then when he finally gets kicked off, he can brag to other forums that he was too hardcore for the SDMB. Imagine our consternation.

Thanks for the clarification. I will admit I visit Great Debates very seldom now and so I was unaware of alaric’s propensity for starting threads.
