In a lot of those photos she’s obviously done her hair and makeup and put on earrings between the kill and the photo shoot. My daughter’s FB page is loaded with pictures of her holding up her catches on the river, and dolled up to go out, but I don’t know what I’d think if her getup were combo’d. And that would just be fish; catch and release at that. But using a big dead mammal as a fashion accessory? Also, twenty five years ago when I worked at Kinko’s, we had to run a bunch of “menus” for professional hunters when a big game convention was in town (white Africans are really assholes to people in service jobs - surprise surprise). The cost to shoot even an antelope was thousands of dollars. If she really wanted to feed hungry natives for the most value, she could have flown in a giraffe herd worth of White Castle. People are free to hunt and make bad jokes and keep pics of their junk in the Cloud, but still, they should own their shit. ---

I have met hunters that hunt with a great reverence for life. But I’ve met others that have a sort of glee at being able to go around killing things. This is not remotely the same as the other shit you brought up. And I’m not such a shitty person that I wouldn’t give her a chance if I met her in person. If I find out I’m wrong about her, fine. It’s not like any of that other shit, where people are trying to have their own facts. It’s just my opinion of her character based on what I know now. It doesn’t matter to me one bit why you kill if you actually viscerally enjoy the act of killing. ---

Interesting how the thread became about the moral justification of the hunter, as opposed to that of those engaging in online threats, doxxing, etc. against her or about the OP’s denunciation of the online shaming culture.
