Once I had the pleasure of sitting near (Bill) Goldberg on an airplane and watching and listening to him as he chatted with his fans. He was very gracious and polite to all who stopped to chat with him, and it seemed like most of the folks on the plane recognized him and adored him. As someone else noted, these guys are mostly acting. It takes a good actor to play a good “heel”. ---

Lesnar defeated Big Show in a stretcher match for the title by carrying him out on a stretcher. On smackdown two weeks ago, Lesnar hurled Big Show from the top rope, and when they landed the ring collapsed, that was great stuff. Brock has succesfully defended his title twice now. Team Angle (which has left Curt Angle) and Big Show just faced Lesnar, Mr. America, and Curt Angle in a 6 man tag team match last week. No one really one, but Big Show flexed his muscle in the end, and has to now take on the new kid (Zach, I think) who has a prosthetic leg, and Stephanie McMahon in a handicapped match! If this isn’t great entertainment, I don’t now what is! ---

Whatever became of him? My friend got me back into WWE after a lapse of 12 years by telling me that Edge came into the ring to a Rob Zombie song. When I went to see for myself, I was sufficiently entertained to keep watching. However, in Edge’s absence, Benoit has become my WWE hero. I like that whole Edge/Benoit/Lesnar/Rhyno/Mysterio alliance they’ve got. I haven’t seen Smackdown since about the second week in May when I moved out of the dorm. The house I’m at this summer doesn’t have cable yet, and our TV doesn’t have an antenna. ---

Oh, come on. John Cena is the best. He can actually rap decently (sort of. Better than eminem, anyway) and it’s even more hilarious when he starts calling people 'White Boy". What ever happened to the Albert/Cena/Big Show/FBI group they had going on? _That_ was an unstoppable alliance. ---
