To add to what **Oswald Bastable** already mentioned about Lydon’s use of marijuana, he was also an avid user of speed in the 70s, before and during his time with the Sex Pistols. In his autobiography he mentions using speed to stay up to watch movies in all-night theatres. I doubt he was ever addicted, though.
