*sigh* I think I just gave up on Colbert.......

I agreed with ever word of the “to give to charity or not” piece on tonights show. Really.

I’d been waiting for “Formidable Opponent.” I wish he’d been less respectful of himself, but I was pleased. The safety thing went on a little too long, but was also good. I felt like they went in more of a silly, Daily Show direction tonight.

Just wanted to add my two cents that Colbert is definitely weak…yes I got he was parodying fox news et al, but that joke only takes about 10 seconds, not several episodes. I gave colbert 2 episodes, but I think I’ll stop watching after TDS is over…or even before Colbert goes through that really sad “reparte” with Stewart on how his show is “so much better” as the intro.

Of course, the other comparison in my mind to this is American Dad, which also has been hit and miss, again with the heavy parody of the right. Its like making fun of the mentally challenged. Not really funny…which I think is why John Stewarts slightly more serious approach works better under the current circumstances.

Oh well…its just TV.
