> [@IvoryTowerDenizen](#): > > I was in my tower before I became a mod, and will remain in my tower after. In fact, I’m going to be a dean soon! 😃 I’m not a very active poster, mostly a reader, so we haven’t had much interaction. But, as a fellow denizen of both the ivory tower and the North Shore, I’ve appreciated your contributions as a poster and a mod. But mostly, as an academic administrator myself, I wanted to say, welcome to the dark side! ---

Thanks so much for all you have done and contributed… welcome to peonhood (you know just here, not the whole Dean thing ya got going on outside of this place.) ---

I’m happy that the precipitating event(s) causing you to step down seem to be positive ones, **ITD** , but gosh, I’m sad for the board. You rocked as a mod! ---

You’ve been a great mod. Please tell us you’re staying on as a poster! And congrats on being a Dean. I just started my academic career, and already I have to question why anyone would ever want to be a Dean! ---

Too bad. Some of the newer mods are subpar. We’ve not interacted much, but you’ve always been a class act. Sounds like you’ll be staying around though, so that’s good. ---

Welp, sucks to be us, sucks to be you. 😃 Nah, I’m kidding, I’m sure you’ll enjoy all that responsibility and will respond by rising to it. You did here, didn’t ya? Thanks for your efforts in corralling us felines, and hopefully you trained your underlings well. ---
