I’m pretty boring. My favourite activities are solitary ones. I surf the internet, watch TV on the internet, watch DVDs by myself and so on. Occasionally, when I get calls from even my closest friends, I just let the voicemail pick up. Yep, sometimes I don’t even feel like talking to anyone. ---

I didn’t even know that I was boring until I realized that my goal in life, the one thing that finally is able to fill me with burning passion… is to become a librarian. Since that realizion, I haven’t gotten laid. ---

[/QUOTE] My big dream is tied between becoming a librarian and working for a museum doing curation/research and interpretation. So far, librarian has won out of convenience. I was destined to be a giant geek. My favorite color is also gray. ---

When you can’t get more than three words into discussing any of your favorite topics before even your closest friends will either tune you out or give you a look that indicates that you had better stop talking right now or someone (and lets just say that it probably won’t be any of your friends) is going to end up with a lot fewer friends. ---

At a yard sale a couple of months ago, I got excited when I bought two boxes full of old science fiction and mystery magazines for ten bucks. I’ve been known to hang around the library browsing through the Britannica reading articles more or less at random. When I really cut loose and go wild, I bake a frozen pizza while watching a Bette Davis or Humphrey Bogart movie I’ve borrowed from the library. (It used to be a six pack, a pizza and an old movie, but I lost my taste for beer.) I apparently have the chameleon-like ability to blend perfectly with the wallpaper on the rare occasions I go to a party. I have been known to argue passionately about copyright laws and how unfair it is that the Shadow and Doc Savage are still not in the public domain. And I was like this even when I was young. (Okay, I swear sometimes on the SDMB, and once I almost but not quite brought a hooker home, but still … ) ---

I just turned down a call-up from a female friend to come to a party, 'cause I was at home, listening to Bruce Springsteen’s “Live in New York” DVD and reading poems. I’m really dull; the surprising part is that I was called up at all. ---

I’m so boring that when my librarian father forwards articles to me from newspapers, I edit them for grammar before I forward them to other people. and I look forward to it.
