I’ve always found the phrase My Neighbor Enjoys Making Odd Noises In Church to be a useful way to remember the tricky spelling of the word “mnemonic.” ---

I learned order of operations: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction As Please excuse my dear Aunt Sally. I always prefered Please exhume my dead Aunt Sally. ---

Learned a couple of years ago in a college Computer Networking class: All People Seem To Need Data Processing The OSI layers in networking (from the top layer to the bottom) 7. **A** pplication 6. **P** resentation 5. **S** ession 4. **T** ransport 3. **N** etwork 2. **D** ata Link 1. **P** hysical. From top to bottom my network instructor used something like: Please do not take sausage pizza away Looking on line, there’s tons of them. ---

They wear…_ Answer: “…gray.” When someone dies, the black-clad family of the dead person puts them in the ground. When you jump your car, the black handle of the dead battery goes to a ground. ---

Speaking of math, this is really basic, but when I was a kid the first mnemonic I learned was the order of math operations - Pemdas Parentheses Exponents Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction ---

Slow, fast, fast, slow. It’s how you mix regular insulin (“fast”) and long-acting insulin (“slow”) from two different vials in the same syringe. She told me that because I had a hell of a time remembering which insulin was clear and which was cloudy and which vial gets the air first and which one gets drawn first… “CCCC” (cloudy, clear, clear, cloudy) isn’t exactly helpful. 🙂 I don’t think it was ever a test question anyway.
