[_The Fox,_](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCE) by Ylvis, is the most bafflingly unclassifiable song I’ve ever encountered. I honestly can’t tell if it’s supposed to be children’s music, a novelty song, or just a weird pop tune. I think it’s awesome, though. ---

They are a comedy duo who originally made the song and video for their talk show so I would classify it as a comedic song. ---

Is silly and funny, but not far from the real thing. [![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/9Kgx2b1sIRs/hqdefault.jpg "Dead Alewives D&D") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kgx2b1sIRs) ---

But that’s obviously a profound message. ---

Silly or serious? Can’t tell, but either way it’s lots of fun. [Start Wearing Purple](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkkIwO_X4i4). [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/silly-songs-that-are-probably-not-joke-songs/1003341.md?page=5)
