Is not the concept that a thread is too silly supposed to mean that no one likes it or wants to post in it? ---

That’s exactly what I was thinking, but was too lazy to start a thread about. I suppose responding to a thread takes significantly less effort than does starting one? Anyway, love ya, **Specs** , but that thread made me chuckle in a way something so ridiculous should not have, and I would have loved to watch more for more hilarious responses. Everyone was having a good time, and the thread was no dumber than him telling us his friend, or whoever, thinks ladies would like him if he bought a Jeep. ---

Ehh, maybe, but I thought it was a fairly amusing response to all the “How do I tip the [people who have no business being tipped here]?” threads. Seriously, the threads about tipping the UPS Guy/Cashier at CVS/That one dude at the bus stop who seems to have the schedules memorized/Lady who scoops up my food at the Chinese place/ are getting out of hand. Now granted, given the history of the poster in question, who seems to nearly exclusively start threads on behalf of his friend, the mod response seems slightly less capricious, but still, I don’t believe the thread overall is too silly to live. ---

It clearly wasn’t too silly for YOU to participate in. It wasn’t too silly for 42 responses to have been submitted in a six hour period. This is the type of bullshit moderating that got twickster a daily thread in ATMB this summer - totally arbitrary thread closings because they didn’t meet some arbitrary level of mundaneness. Let me ask you this - what sort of horribleness do you think would have occurred if you hadn’t closed the thread? Stayed at the top of IMHO for a few more hours? Maybe it was in the wrong forum - then just fucking move it. The thread was harmless, the posts were all in good fun - and you thought it was enjoyable to take part in yourself. Unlock it, apologize, learn to pause next time you feel the need to swing your dick around, and move on. ---
