Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette movie that came out a few years ago had a New Wave/electro-pop soundtrack that people either loved or hated. If you weren’t annoyed by contemporary music in historical settings in those other movies, you might like it. ---

And I loved the use of “Clair de Lune” in the final scene in Oceans Eleven. The polka-loving hit man in Aria is an entire character based around your idea. ---

_Rushmore_ uses songs almost exclusively from the British Invasion of the 1960’s even the movie takes place now-ish. ---

Sofia Coppola’s _Marie Antoinette_ was full of anachronistic references. I can’t recall if there’s any musical element, though. ---
