Simple question..Why has the White House stonewalled the 9/11 investigation?

It seems a lot of people don’t understand the reason an enquiry is important. It’s not because Bush necessarily did something suspicious or incompetant that needs to be investigated. It’s because thousands of people died, and it could have been prevented. The investigation should continue not because Bush might be an incompetant president, but because maybe something went wrong that allowed the attacks to be carried out without any warning, and if there is something wrong it should be fixed before something like this happens again.

Exactly. Which is what makes Bush’s ploy to shore up his crediblity in the WMD investigations by granting a reprieve to the 9/11 probe a good thing. Kudos to you Mr. President. You finally got it right! :wink:
