Anyone know a site for downloading Simple Sudoku that is not as contaminated as a $20 crack whore? ---

[websudoku.com](http://websudoku.com) is good. All puzzles have a unique solution. Generated puzzles, not “puzzle-packs”. (Can’t speak about [sudoku.org](http://sudoku.org), above.) ---

Oddly enough for years I have used [Simple Sudoku](http://www.angusj.com/sudoku/). As ever when looking for the best of free software, actually tested by real people, just check out [Gizmo’s Freeware Reviews](http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/best-free-sudoku.htm#Simple-Sudoku) first. ---

While not downloadable, [http://www.sudukopuzzles.org/sudoku-printables.html](http://www.sudukopuzzles.org/sudoku-printables.html)\* is my favorite place for printable sudoku puzzles. You can get 2,4 or 6 puzzles to a page, with five levels and nearly 10 years of archived puzzles to choose from. They don’t, however, provide the answers, which is fine with me. YMMV. Back when I didn’t have a computer of my own, I was on one at the library when I discovered this site. I immediately printed out a bunch of them. They’re how I figured the whole Sudoku thing out. I’d cut each puzzle out and keep a stack in a little pouch in my purse with a mechanical pencil. I would pull them out in the doctor’s waiting room, coffee shop or at home. Now I can solve the occasional Evil (level 4) puzzle, though the Fiendish (level 5) are still a bit beyond me. I don’t play as much as I used to but still keep that pouch in my purse in case the urge strikes me. \*Note that they have it spelled suduko and not sudoku in the web address. I guess to distinguish them from other Sudoku sites.
