# Simple TV Question

I was just wondering why your TV glows after you turn it off at night. I know, stupid. Its a waste of bandwith. Well too bad! I did it! Its over! All answers are welcome 🙂 .

The coating on the inside of the screen that creates the picture is slightly phosphorescent.

When the TV is on, the electrons being fired at the coating create the picture you see. When the TV is off, it glows a little bit for a while.

Ugly
