My guess: he did it because he was vanilla town, so he figured better him than potentially a power role if that’s the PCM is. Of course he also ended things by calling me out as scum because I refused to break that tie, so his logic train was rolling on pretty fuzzy tracks. ---

I think that Prof P thought (since he knew he was town) that if PCM were scum, then one of his scumbuddies would have voted for Prof P to break the tie. Since they didn’t, PCM is town. I personally don’t think that’s true, especially at the point when it was so late in the Day that any switches would be viewed with high suspicion. Not counting random votes and Prof P’s suicide, there were two tiebreaking votes yesterDay: PCM’s vote on Prof P in post 113 and septimus’s revote of Prof P in post 120. PCM’s vote can be explained as self-preservation. I didn’t remember the reasons septimus voted for Prof P in the first place, but I had assumed he had a reason when I saw him unvote and revote. Upon rereading, there really wasn’t one. **Vote Biotop** This is a hunch, but I recall from the game I ran that Biotop, as scum, spoke often about “experienced” players when discussing who to night kill. He also spoke of Mahaloth as an experienced player. Thus, the Mahaloth kill makes me think that Biotop was involved. There’s very little in-thread reason why Mahaloth would have been killed - he didn’t do much yesterDay.
