Simpsons 3/15: "Gone Maggie Gone"

I’ve learned the hard way to allow some overlap in my DVR recordings where Fox is concerned. For the Simpsons, I start the recording 2 minutes before the scheduled start.

That’s what I have set up now. I already had it set to run two minutes long at the end… anyway they’ll rerun it eventually.

Thinking about this one, I can’t think of the last time I saw a new episode that was this funny. My guess it it’s been at least a handful of seasons. I can name favorite stories, but ones that were this consistently funny? That’s tough.

I agree, funniest in a long time. I liked the pirate nuns a lot, especially the fencing with rulers and the parrot nun.

I’ve learned the hard way to allow some overlap in my DVR recordings where Fox is concerned. For the Simpsons, I start the recording 2 minutes before the scheduled start. Since I also DVR King of the Hill, which immediately follows it, I don’t worry so much about the end. If it gets cut off at the end, it’ll be at the start of the KOTH recording. But I also do the same for House. I’ll add 2 minutes to the start and extend the end by about 2 or 3 minutes more.

Hell, I remember having to do that with a VCR! What the hell good is a DVR if we’re not moving forward? Don’t the TV stations have some sort of “show start” signal that they can send to signal the beginning of a show??? And NOT cut off the end of a show? I hate being able to record a show and miss the last 3 minutes… GRRRRRR!!!
