Remember the episode where Bart falls in love w/the “sweet, innocent, minister’s daughter”? The funniest thing ever was when she and Bart pulled the fire alarm in school and everyone runs out…then Willie screams… “If I don’t save the wee turtles, who will??” He then runs into a classroom and rolls out, covered in little turtles who are biting him all over “AAACHH!! Save me from the wee turtles!” 😃 ---

The Sugar episode: Homer: Bart, we’ve hit the jack-pot! White gold, Texas tea…sweetener. * * * Marge: Just get rid of the sugar, ok? Homer: Never, Marge. I can’t live the button down life like you. I need terrifing lows, the dizzing highs, the creamy middles. Oh, I may offend some of the blue noses with my cocky stride and musky oders. I’ll never be the darling of the so-called city fathers, who cluck their tongues, stroak their beards, and say, “what’s to be done with Homer Simpson?!” * * * And Cecil and Bob Terwilliger: Cletus: Mr. Terwilliger! There’s trouble down to the cement mixer, sir. Cletus: See, me and Cousin Merle was playing catch with Zeke, that’s our old smell hound, and… Cousin Merle: Zeke’s gone to heaven, Mr. Terwilliger. Bob: Oh, Cousin Merle, really! Cecil: Now Bob, take it easy, you know Cousin Merle ain’t been quite right lately. Those scenes always crack me up 😃 ---

Another from the sugar episode… When Homer pulls a British guy from the huge pile of sugar and says “Allright buddy, who are you and where did you get the sugar for that tea???” British guy: I nipped it. In the split second you averted your eyes. And I would do it again. ---

I think the alien one…with Mulder and Scully. Gawsh i loved it. Probably its been mentioned…? but i dont wanna wade through all that… i liked the smashing pumpkins one too…and all the sideshow bob ones. \*What are you up to this evening, Smithers? Something **gay** , no doubt? WHAT? You know,…daring…etc. Mothers lock up your daughters, Smithers is on the town! Hehe…exactly, sir. \* and… \*…the four years at Clown College. I’ll thank you not to refer to Princeton that way. ---

Deep Space Homer is undoubtedly my favorite episode. Besides being filled with nonstop gags, it has, not one, but two of my favorite Homer speeches. * * * Reporter: Uh, question for the barbeque chef. Don’t you think there is an inherent danger in sending underqualified civilians into space? Homer: I’ll field this one. The only danger is if they send us to that terrible Planet of the Apes. Wait a minute…Statue of Liberty…that was our planet! You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you! Damn you all to hell! [weeps] * * * Homer: You’re right, Marge. Just like the time I could have met Mr. T at the mall. The entire day I kept saying, “I’ll go a little later. I’ll go a little later.” And then when I got there, they told me he’d just left. And when I asked the mall guy if he would ever come back again, he said he didn’t know. Well, I’m never going to let something like that happen again! I’m going into space right now! * * * Also, I just wanted to mention a quote that illustrates how well versed you must be to get all of the jokes in this show. Marge: Homer, I don’t see what problem you have with going to Japan. You liked _Rashomon_. Homer: Yeah, well that’s not how I remember it. Two monthes ago I had no idea that was supposed to be funny. ---

My faves have to be **The PTA Disbands** (Purple-monkey-dishwasher) and **Mr. Plow** (Adam West: “Remember the Bat-2-See?”). Someone should start a thread on Milhouse quotes (“So this is what it feels like when doves cry!”) I wish I had a Bort license plate. ---
